Parklets - Jerusalem

The Parklets project was conceived as part of a wide urban process of upgrading and renewing the industrial area of the “Talpiot” neighborhood in Jerusalem by the Jerusalem municipality and “Eden” company.

The objective was to give a fast solution using tactical urbanism methods of turning a gray, lifeless and dangerous area, with no consideration to pedestrians and visitors - to a vibrant and welcoming green urban oasis.

To accomplish that, we created a mobile seating area designed to restore the public space from the traffic, bringing shade and greenery back to the pedestrians and giving people a break from the busy city.
