Shushan - Jerusalem downtown
Shushan Street in Jerusalem is a famous street well known for it’s street parties and alternative bars. Despite this reputation, the street itself is neglected and not properly cared for. The Jerusalem Municipality in collaboration with the Eden company contacted us with a project request aiming to revitalize the street by creating colorful corners to make the place more playful during the day and serve the residents of the place at night. Using the tools of tactical urbanism , we created a project that took various motifs from the surrounding bars, combined artists from the scene and included the residents' request in the process of public participation.

Ping pong table
At the “Mazkaka” bar across the road, there was a table tennis tournament. Taking on the tournament in order to return a crown to its former glory, the studio designed and planned a ping pong table for the street. The ping pong table was a part of a collaboration of the studio and “IM Segev” company.
The table was specially designed by our studio for IM Segev's new outdoor collection and is featured in the company's catalog.
The graphic design on the table was done by the artist Lior Bentov - “Pesh”.
Shading
As mentioned, we wanted to create a pleasant area for sitting during the day. Therefore, as in any urban project, shading is an integral part of our strategy. We used a special shading where samples can be printed. The model was created by the artist Dima Korma.
Make it stand out.
At the corner of the street we put high bar seating, additional benches that we have designed, mini parakeets that are scattered in the street and various planters for plants.
